Muscle Test – The Sway Test


Have you been struggling to muscle test yourself?

If so then the Sway Test might be the answer for you. It’s really fun and is great to use for both adults and kids alike!

I am working on making a video to show you how to do The Sway Test  but in the meantime here’s a video where Gwen Bonnell gives a really good description of how to do it:

Text Version Of How To Do This Fun Muscle Test

Stand with your feet together and hands crossed on your chest. Say the following to calibrate:
“My name is ___________(Your name)” Your body should sway forward
“My name is Benjamin Franklin” You should feel your body way back
Then, “Yes” – your body should sway forward
Then “No”
Think of something good – forward
Bad – back
Someone you love – forward
Someone you have a problem with – back

Now take the substance you want to test and hold against your chest. Remember feet together. State, “This (substance name) is good for my body”. Close your eyes, breathe in and as you breathe out notice whether your body wants to sway forwards or back.

If it sways forward the substance shouldn’t be causing you any problems but if you sway backwards it is causing you problems.

If you don’t feel like you are swaying the correct way, or if you move side to side, go back and calibrate.

Sometimes you have to tell your body that ‘Yes/positive’ is forwards and ‘No/negative’ is backwards.

If you are still having trouble, try what Gwen suggests by tapping the outside of your hands (that you would use to do a karate chop) together and then try again.

Muscle Test Everything

This can take some practise but once you get it, it is an amazing tool.

Once you know what is causing your body problems you can either eliminate it from your diet or work on clearing the problem, which is the main focus of this site.

You can test yourself for anything, even limiting beliefs which could be holding you back from living the life of your dreams!

    I sway forward for a “no” answer and backward for a “yes” . I am wondering if that is okay as long as I know which way I sway is for a yes or a no. Or is something wrong with me?

      Thanks for commenting and asking me to explain what I meant in response to the previous comment. I am sure this will help others who were thinking the same. I know what I am talking about and sometimes I forget that others don’t so thanks for reminding me. I do find it difficult to explain this work sometimes. I know I need to make videos but I am working on that (I am taking a course!).

      Ok so I said, “When you are testing for vitamins and you sway backwards it means that you need to clear your body’s problem with them in order for your body to get the benefit of them.” Do you understand that when testing something, if you sway forward then your body is ok with it but if you sway back your body is not ok with it?

      When testing vitamins, if you body sways backwards it means that for some reason your body is not ok with them. It doesn’t matter if you have been told that they are good for you or not, your body is telling you that there is a problem. It could be that particular brand of vitamin. If you sway backwards I would recommend that you write the name of the vitamin (like vitmin C) on a piece of paper, hold the paper and test again. If you sway forward then you know it’s the particular brand, or maybe something else that is in the pill. Again you can write down the ingredients individually and test.

      You can use The Allergy Kit or Allergy Antidoes to eliminate the cause of the problem and bring your body back into balance. This is what I meant when I said you need to “clear your body’s problem”. You need to rebalance your system so that it no longer reacts negatively to substances, especially substances that we know are beneficial to our health and well-being (many people have a problem with water!).

      I do hope this answers you question. Please let me know if I still haven’t explained myself properly.

    Hi Catherine ~ Yes, I have tried the sway test but have had varied results – or maybe it was my expectations. The times I’ve been most confused is when I’ve read how good a particular vitamin or supplement would be for me and then sway-tested it and my body swayed backwards as if I didn’t need it. I was surprised because why wouldn’t I need something that’s supposed to be beneficial to me? Also, there have been many times when my body has not moved one way or the other – that is quite confusing. Does that mean it doesn’t matter one way or the other?

      First off I would like to apologise for not responding to you sooner. I totally missed your comment until now!

      With any kind of muscle testing the key is to keep pracitising. If your body isn’t moving or if you are going side to side, keep calobrating by telling it that ‘Yes’ is forward and ‘No’ is backwards.

      With regards vitamins. I understand that it can seem odd that you would sway backwards when testing something that is supposed to be good for you.
      But you can have a problem with absolutely anything even if it’s supposed to be good for you. If you are having a problem with a particular vitamin or mineral, apart from the fact that it could cause unwanted symptoms, your body won’t absorb it.
